In an effort to promote my music video on campus, I’ve been reaching out to different student groups. Most just invite me to a meeting to speak to their members but a few have asked me as a guest to their major events. These pictures are from HAVEN’s (the LGBQT group on campus) drag show on Friday night. I think I look terrifying, but people have been suggesting otherwise. What are you trying to say, GUYS!?

Very late, around 2:30 am, my Dad and I were driving home from the office. It was chilly and desolate outside; no one on the road, mostly silence. “I need to get gas. Jesus, the tank is low; I didn’t even notice.” We drove from downtown up Delaware Avenue then took Pennsylvania Avenue at the fork by the Children’s Theatre. I was so tired that I had forgotten about the low gas and asked why we took Pennsylvania Avenue. He replied with a frustrated tone - I mean, how did I not remember his comment from 3 minutes before? We pulled into the Shell Station and drove to the pumps on the left side; despite the hour, there were actually some cars filling up on the right. My Dad pulled up and I thought for sure he was going to get closer to the pumps, but he didn’t. I mentioned that he was very far away, but he seemed un-phased. I listed to the music in the car, slightly in a lull, my eyes open but glazing, relaxing, settling into a sort of temporary rest. I was startled by a car that pulled up next to us, irrationally assuming it must contain a bad person (because of the hour) who might hurt us. I checked on my Dad was still outside pumping the gas, and I relaxed into the seat after the car that woke me sped away and out of the station. Then my Dad was back in the car. But before he could shut his door, I realized the car was beeping to indicate something. This only happens when the car is turned on, and immediately my mind jumped from its comatose state. “Dad, was the car on while you were pumping gas?” I blurted. He shifted his weight as he finally closed the door, turned toward me with that look of thought and admission in his eyes. “Why, yes I did,” he said, completely matter-of-factly, his tone indicating that he didn’t forget to turn off the car, rather he made the decision not to turn it off conciously. My eyes grew wide and my mouth dropped open. “Wait, what? You left the car on while pumping gas? You can’t do that!” I started to laugh but I was also actually upset that he did that, not only because he might do that regularly and could endanger himself, but he did it with me in the car. “Why can’t you do that?” he asked. I was in shock. “Um, a fire, an explosion, perhaps?” I retorted in an almost cartoonish manner to keep things light (and to prevent the possibility of being snapped at for sounding rude). “I don’t actually know, does it really matter?” he asked. “Of course it matters! Everyone knows you are supposed to turn off your car before pumping gas! And it’s the law!” I was not actually sure about the latter statement, but since he clearly had no clue, I figured he wouldn’t argue the point. He didn’t. He merely made a little “hmmph,” put the car into “Drive” and headed toward the house.

Please turn off your car before pumping gas, or I will personally kick your ass.

This is the weirdest post I've ever seen. Congrats to Zombies Like Cupcakes, Too for being weird as hell.
